CEO’s Message

Fujitsu has established its Management Vision 2035, centered on “technology-driven value creation”. We will focus on providing trusted technologies and implementing AI-driven business to build a safer, more secure, and more prosperous world. To achieve this vision, it is essential to accurately grasp the rapidly evolving international affairs and technological trends, and to enhance the quality of decision-making even amid unprecedented complexity and uncertainty.

The Fujitsu Future Studies Center (FFSC) will serve as an intellectual foundation for Fujitsu, leveraging its network of experts in Japan and abroad to provide perspectives that integrate both international affairs and technology. Furthermore, as an open platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange with external experts, FFSC will promote co-creation, aiming to refine, deepen, and expand insights together. Through these initiatives, we will reinforce Fujitsu’s pursuit of value creation and contribute to the creation of new value that will shape the future.

Chairman’s Message

FFSC was established in April 2020 as a think tank dedicated to predicting rapid shifts in international affairs and supporting Fujitsu’s mid-to-long-term strategies. Our unchanging mission since our founding has been to look ahead to the horizon where structural changes in international affairs intersect with advanced technology, thereby providing the broad perspective indispensable for Fujitsu leadership.

Today, the world finds itself amid an international community with division, confrontation, and turmoil, as the international order and frameworks for cooperation—steadily built since the end of World War II—are beginning to falter. In these times, we are urgently required not only to discern the true nature of increasingly complex risks—such as prolonged regional conflicts, economic security challenges, and the rise of innovative technologies like generative AI—but also to capture early signs of change beyond these risks to forge a path toward a fruitful future.

Leveraging our strength—a robust network of collaboration with leading researchers, practitioners, and institutions both in Japan and abroad—FFSC will conduct in-depth analysis focusing on three core areas: international affairs, advanced technology, and security. By organically fusing this diverse external expertise with the technological insights Fujitsu has cultivated over the years, we aim to serve as a reliable compass for navigating this era of uncertainty and shaping a resilient and sustainable future.
