Kuniharu Kakihara
Principal Research Director
Ret. Lt. GEN. Kakihara Kuniharu is currently the Principal Research Director, National Security Institute at Fujitsu Defense &National Security, Ltd. He is currently Fellow, Harvard University Asia Center. Also, he is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Geoeconomics, where he also serves as Group Head of the International Security Order Group. In the JASDF, he served in key leadership roles, including Commander of the Air Development and Test Command, Commandant of Air Command and Staff College, and Chief of Staff at the Air Defense Command. He graduated from the National Defense Academy. He holds a M.A in Area Studies from the University of Tsukuba and M.S in National Security Strategy from the U.S. National Defense University.
