Bridging the Gap: Privacy and Progress in Healthcare Data

However, significant barriers hinder data sharing, primarily stemming from privacy concerns, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, AI Act), and the technical challenges of integrating diverse, decentralized datasets. These challenges limit the ability to leverage large, diverse datasets for developing personalized medicine, early diagnosis tools, and AI models. To overcome these limitations, the PHASE IV AI project proposes several solutions and technologies among them a solution centered on the generation and utilization of synthetic data.

AI will allow us to shape dynamic and evolving interfaces that can adapt in real-time to the preferences and behaviors of each user. But how far can we expect this personalization to go? What are its benefits and limits? Salvatore Berrittella, Senior UI Designer at Fujitsu Luxembourg, explores the future ahead of us.
