About the customer
Ken Wilson Meats is a Wellington-based New Zealand meat wholesaler and procurement business within the Preston Corp Group. The company supplies beef, lamb, pork, smallgoods, and branded meat products to wholesale, retail, supermarket, and food service customers across New Zealand.
New Zealand’s meat industry moves quickly. For Ken Wilson Meats, having accurate, timely information across inventory, procurement, sales, and finance is essential to making sound decisions and responding to changing market conditions.
The company had relied successfully on earlier generations of ERP technology for many years. However, support for its existing platform was coming to an end, while maintaining on-premises infrastructure was becoming increasingly restrictive.
Ken Wilson Meats needed to reduce its dependence on local servers, give employees greater flexibility, and move to a system that could develop alongside the business.
For Procurement and Operations Manager Roy Zeier, the goal was clear: give employees the information they needed to make better decisions, wherever they were working.
