At Uvance Wayfinders, we are a diverse group of talented consultants, leveraging our expertise and experience to solve our clients’ challenges and unlock business value. This series discusses who we are, why we are here, and how we, as individuals and as a business, bring value to both our clients and to society.
Morgan de Novellis is a Managing Consultant at Wayfinders Oceania, combining expertise in user experience, change management, and program assurance to deliver meaningful, lasting outcomes. With experience across government, Defence, and the private sector, she focuses on people-centered solutions that simplify complexity and improve experiences. Morgan is driven by empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to creating positive impact for both organisations and the communities they serve.
Your journey so far
I began my career in government communications, where I quickly learned how powerful, clear, purposeful communication can be in shaping outcomes. Those early roles gave me a strong grounding in strategic communication and change management, with a focus on keeping people at the center of every decision. I built my craft around user-centric, purpose-led communication, strategic thinking, and analytical rigor.
From there, I moved into the construction and property sector, where I focused on communications and marketing. My government background proved invaluable, particularly in pre-sales and business development, where I specialised in crafting compelling and creative proposals for public sector opportunities.
When I joined Fujitsu, I found an immediate alignment between my values, skills, and their consulting practice. I was naturally drawn to user experience design, where I’ve since delivered impactful solutions for Federal Government, Defence, and private clients. Highlights include leading change programs, program assurance, and solutions that improve everyday outcomes for users.
The spark behind joining Wayfinders
For me, joining Wayfinders was about being part of something bigger than myself while still staying true to the values that have guided my career. The opportunity to shape a global consulting practice that connects the vision, expertise, and creativity of our Australian team with insights from colleagues in the USA, Europe, and Asia was incredibly compelling.
What excites me most is the chance to take that collective knowledge and apply it directly to our clients’ challenges, enhancing the outcomes we deliver and ensuring we continue to evolve. I believe innovation happens when diverse perspectives come together, and Wayfinders provides exactly that environment.
On a personal level, it’s also an opportunity to grow. Collaborating across borders, designing solutions at scale, and sharing successes as a global team creates space for learning, professional growth, and deeper impact. The combination of global reach, local impact, and personal development is why Wayfinders felt like the right step.
What makes Wayfinders stand out?
Wayfinders is unique because it strikes the right balance between global expertise and local delivery. We’re not a distant global conglomerate; we’re a connected, scalable consulting practice that can draw on international insights while still working shoulder-to-shoulder with clients on the ground. That means our customers benefit from world-class thinking, tailored to their context, and delivered by a team that feels like part of their own.
Another differentiator is our approach. At Wayfinders, we start with people and their challenges. We take the time to understand what matters most, then co-design solutions that integrate people, process, and technology in the right combination. This ensures solutions are both practical and sustainable.
Finally, our end-to-end capability sets us apart. We’re there from concept through to delivery, so clients don’t face the disruption of handovers or knowledge loss. That continuity builds trust and delivers results that last.
Your vision for impact
I bring a customer-centric approach grounded in empathy, curiosity, and consistency. My focus is always on people; their needs, their challenges, and their aspirations. I work hard to ensure those voices are reflected in the solutions we design. I believe in building genuine relationships with clients, taking the time to understand their context, and tailoring advice that feels practical, honest, and actionable.
I care deeply about outcomes, not just outputs. To me, success isn’t about delivering a document or ticking off milestones; it’s about achieving lasting impact for the customer. That’s why I aim to be a trusted advisor, someone who can provide clarity during uncertainty and guide clients to make confident, informed decisions.
Whether it’s solving complex problems in Defence or improving everyday user experiences in government services, my approach combines strategic insight with human-centered design. At Uvance Wayfinders, I’ll continue to deliver solutions that make a difference.
Creating value beyond business
For me, value isn’t just about solving today’s challenges; it’s about creating solutions that will stand the test of time. I want to deliver outcomes that are sustainable, scalable, and reusable, improving lives for individuals while contributing positively to society as a whole.
A particular passion of mine is improving access to public services, especially those who rely on them most. By prioritising inclusivity and accessibility, I strive to ensure that the systems and services we design don’t leave anyone behind. Technology and processes are important, but at the heart of it, the work we do is about people.
I also see value in creating change that feels meaningful. Helping organisations move beyond “quick fixes” to embed solutions that create long-term impact. Ultimately, I want to provide lasting improvements that make life easier, fairer, and more effective for users, communities, and society at large.
