A rare opportunity to help build a new kind of consulting firm
At Uvance Wayfinders, we are a diverse group of talented consultants, leveraging our expertise and experience to solve our clients’ challenges and unlock business value. This series discusses who we are, why we are here, and how we, as individuals and as a business, bring value to both our clients and to society.
Here we hear from Uvance Wayfinders Associate Partner, Diana Tran, as she discusses her excitement at the rare opportunity to shape a new kind of consulting business, an AI-native firm that’s not just reacting to change, but helping lead the way forward.
Can you please give us some insight into your career experience and key achievements?
I began my career in creative, entrepreneurial roles—launching two start-ups in digital media and entertainment. After earning my MBA, I transitioned into consulting, where I’ve spent the past 9 years working across the media and entertainment, telecom, and retail industries.
I’ve built a career at the intersection of business and technology, where strategy meets execution. I’ve helped clients reimagine customer journeys, launch data-driven products, and embed data & AI into core operations—all by connecting business goals with the right technology levers.
There are two consistent themes throughout my journey: bringing first-of-a-kind ideas to life and managing the complexity it takes to make them a reality. I’ve led large, cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, oftentimes under tight timelines and budgets. But whether it’s launching new products and solutions, or transforming the customer experience, I’m always energized by the opportunity to turn bold ideas into tangible impact.
Why did you join Uvance Wayfinders?
I joined Wayfinders because I saw a rare opportunity to help build a new kind of consulting firm: one designed for this era of rapid, AI-driven change. We’re at a pivotal moment in business and society, and I want to be part of shaping what comes next.
After nearly a decade in consulting, I felt the industry lacked a firm that could truly deliver end-to-end—from strategy to implementation to sustained outcomes. With Wayfinders’ consulting capabilities and Fujitsu’s R&D, technology, and services heritage, we have all the right pieces to do just that. I am excited to help bring that vision to life, and to do it with a team that’s bold, collaborative, and deeply committed to making a difference.
What in your opinion are Uvance Wayfinders’s differentiating factors and appeal?
I believe Wayfinders, backed by Fujitsu, is uniquely positioned to help clients go from “opportunities to outcomes.” We’re able to combine strategic thinking with real-world execution that’s powered by cutting-edge tech and a 90-year legacy of delivering trusted IT services.
What sets us apart, and why I chose to join Wayfinders is our people: bright, collaborative, and values driven. We lead with aspiration, trust, and empathy—Fujitsu’s core values—and we bring that spirit into every engagement. We’re client-obsessed, innovation-driven, and grounded in a culture where everyone genuinely cares. In a time of uncertainty and transformation, I’m proud to be part of an AI-native firm that’s not just reacting to change, but helping lead the way forward.
What will you bring to Uvance Wayfinders?
I bring a multidisciplinary mindset and a passion for solving complex problems. My background spans industries and functions— from data & AI, customer experience, and marketing to product management, business operations, analytics, and strategy. I thrive when the challenge is ambiguous, or the path forward isn’t obvious. That’s when I lean into creative thinking, draw inspiration from unconventional sources, and bring together diverse perspectives to co-create solutions with our clients.
But the work is not done once a strategy is set, and that’s why I’m also deeply focused on execution. Bringing a strategy to life is where I excel. There’s a common saying that resonates with me: “Ideas are easy. Execution is everything.”
To me, nothing is truer. Execution is where the challenges are. Execution is where the work, and fun, lives. When it comes to execution, I bring a structured, yet collaborative approach that threads together the strategy and business goals, the technology, and the teams needed to deliver the results.
At Wayfinders, I look forward to working with our diverse team of experts to develop practical, human-centered solutions that drive meaningful change—for our clients and for society.
What kind of value do you want to provide to customers and society?
I aspire to be a true partner to our clients—someone who listens deeply, offers thoughtful perspective, and works side-by-side with clients to create lasting impact.
I want to help clients navigate technological change with clarity, confidence, and most importantly, a human lens. Technology—especially AI—is reshaping how we live and work, and I believe consulting has a critical role to play in ensuring that transformation is thoughtful, inclusive, and beneficial to society.
And whether it’s a customer, an employee, or a citizen, the “experience” matters—it shapes how we move through the world. My goal is to help create experiences that are not only efficient and effective, but also meaningful. At Wayfinders, I’m excited to contribute to work that balances innovation with empathy, and ambition with responsibility.
