PPPGC empowered digital palm oil businesses with SAP S4/HANA solutions on Microsoft Azure

With the vision to become No. 1 partner in the integrated palm oil industry in Thailand sustainability, PPP Green Complex Co., Ltd. or PPPGC therefore enhanced the potential by creating the efficient production process.

It was under the action of "Palm Complex", Thailand's first integrated palm oil industry center found at the unit of area over 1,000 farms in Bang Saphan Noi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

Business Challenges

PPPGC's the main goal was to transform the organization through digital transformation by standardized operational processes and upgrading business’s modernization to be the next level, and to support the preparation for listing as a company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, a public organization with good governance, PPPGC aimed to create sustainability at the international level, therefore, the variety of digital solutions must be selected and applied.

Solutions

PPPGC used cloud-based SAP S4/HANA solutions on Microsoft Azure to streamline operations, strengthen its palm oil production and end-to-end operations across six of its palm complex sites including production, quality control, sales as well as finance.

Results

SAP S4/HANA and Microsoft Azure were extraordinarily complex systems, it was difficult to implement and deploy with full performance in a brief period without competent and experienced specialists.

Fujitsu (Thailand) Co., Ltd., worked closely with PPPGC from studying operations and business models of the company as the consultant to design, provide suitable solutions with cost-effective and installation until it worked perfectly within only 6 months.

Those were important steps in transforming the palm industry into the digital age that supported its success by integrating information, controlling internal procedures, creating working processes based on the international standards, which was not only added value and helped enhance competitiveness, but it was also helped create sustainability for Thailand's palm industry simultaneously.
