Introducing Our Areas

Solutions / Services

In order to resolve the highly diverse, operation-specific issues faced by customers in different business fields, Fujitsu provides solution services which offer total support from consulting to system construction and management.

Computers

In 1954, Fujitsu used a device called a relay from its telephone switching systems, which were its main product at the time, to develop Japan's first practical relay-type computer, the FACOM 100. The era of general-purpose computer equipment continued for some time after this, and Fujitsu grew to become Japan's leading computer manufacturer. As telecommunication networks and semiconductor technology became increasingly sophisticated, a wide variety of computers began to appear, including business computers designed for office work automation, word processors specialized for creating documents, and small-sized, full-featured personal computers.

Telecommunications

Starting out in 1935 as a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, Fujitsu began making switching systems and transmission equipment to support telephone service networks. Over time, the equipment took on new and various forms as these telecommunication networks began to be used not only for telephone services, but for the transmission of computer data as well.

Components

Computers and telecommunications equipment use many different parts, including semiconductors and electronic components. This section features the semiconductors and electronic components which have supported Fujitsu products.
