The world is at a historic turning point; rapid AI evolution has changed our industrial structure, there is increasing geopolitical fragmentation, and economic security is of heightened importance. New technology continues to transform not only people’s lives and corporate activity, but industrial rules and even our values themselves. Such changes pose threats, but they can also be seen as opportunities for new value creation.
Taking into account such changes both in our external environment and in sustainability disclosure standards, at Fujitsu we have been reviewing Materiality. We have identified six themes for our essential contribution - the areas of Planet: Conservation of the global environment, Prosperity: Developing a digital society, and People: Improving people’s well-being - plus the foundations that enable sustainable development - Technology, Management foundation, and Human capital. Our review focuses on specific areas within each of these themes.
With these Materiality themes as a starting point, beginning this fiscal year 2026, our Mid-to-long-term Management Vision 2035 sets the next ten years as a period of technology-driven value creation. Fujitsu will provide trusted technology to help identify and implement solutions to a wide range of societal challenges.
We will further evolve Uvance, a business model that supports customer business growth and cross-industry solutions to those societal challenges, and drive initiatives to create business in new areas. Specifically, we will focus on three areas: our Sovereign Platform, a high-trust computing platform with superior energy-saving calculation capacity; Physical AI that provides human-robot collaboration to achieve higher productivity with workplace autonomy and advanced capabilities; and Intelligent Society, supporting more advanced social infrastructure and enhanced resilience through AI and data. Leveraging our proprietary cutting-edge technology and implementation expertise gained over many years, Fujitsu will contribute to solving the issues facing society such as energy and resource constraints, labor shortages, and increased disaster risk.

On one hand, Fujitsu is accelerating its own transformation to achieve global sustainability. Based on our long-term vision to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, our goal is to be carbon neutral within the Group by FY2030, and to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2040. We have been granted Net Zero certification under the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). In addition to our climate change commitments, under Stage XII of our Environmental Action Plan, we are strengthening our biodiversity initiatives and advancing resource circulation.
Based on the premise of business activities that respect human rights, we are promoting responsible business management including in our supply chain. As technology is applied more widely, there is an increasing focus on human rights, ethics and transparency. Fujitsu will fulfill its responsibilities as a trusted company via dialogue with a diverse range of stakeholders.
A source of competitiveness in this AI era is, we believe, our people. Fujitsu is working to achieve a talent portfolio that aligns with its business portfolio and is redesigning its positions and skills based on collaboration between people and AI. We are strengthening our human capital, promoting improved employee well-being to support each employee’s individual challenges and growth, so that they can independently create value.
