Isak Strid Lindgren on closing the gap between AI ambition and real business impact

At Uvance Wayfinders, we are a diverse group of talented consultants, leveraging our expertise and experience to solve our clients’ challenges and unlock business value. This series discusses who we are, why we are here, and how we, as individuals and as a business, bring value to both our clients and to society.

Here we hear from Isak Strid Lindgren, Senior Manager at Uvance Wayfinders in Sweden. Isak shares how Wayfinders bridges AI strategy and execution to deliver enterprise‑scale impact.

Your journey so far

My career has been shaped by an entrepreneurial drive to build and scale. I founded a digital agency early on, which gave me hands-on experience across everything from strategy to execution. I later took on the role of CEO for a consulting firm in Stockholm, where I worked with international clients such as Neste and Uber and helped scale the business into a more structured and sustainable consultancy.

Across these experiences, I have developed a consistent approach: understanding market trends, looking beyond the surface to what drives them, and assembling the right talent to deliver real value. That combination has been central to my success and continues to guide how I approach both business development and client work today.

The spark behind joining Wayfinders

Moving from an entrepreneurial environment into a large corporation is often a significant shift. What stood out to me about Wayfinders was that it did not feel like a traditional consulting setup focused on producing strategy presentations. Instead, it represents something new, built on Fujitsu’s strong heritage in AI and technology.

This creates a compelling proposition: the ability to not only define strategies with clients but also execute and enable them. That combination is rare in the market. For me, the opportunity to be part of building something that bridges strategy and real delivery, backed by deep technological capability, made Wayfinders an exciting and natural next step.

What makes Wayfinders stand out?

Wayfinders stands out because it goes beyond advising and focuses on delivering tangible outcomes. Many organizations can define a vision, but fewer can actually execute on it. With Fujitsu’s position as a global AI and technology leader, we combine strategic thinking with real implementation capability.

This means we can help clients identify their unique opportunities, understand the challenges that come with emerging technologies such as agentic AI, and then support them all the way through execution. We work side by side with our clients, ensuring that the value identified at the start is realized in practice. That ability to connect strategy with delivery is what truly differentiates Wayfinders.

Your vision for impact

Looking ahead, my focus at Wayfinders is to help bridge the gap between AI ambition and real business impact. Many organizations have moved beyond experimentation, but struggle to scale AI in a way that delivers measurable value. I want to help change that.

My approach is grounded in connecting strategy with execution. It is not enough to identify opportunities, we need to operationalize them, integrate them into core processes, and ensure they deliver sustainable outcomes. This includes building AI solutions that organizations can truly trust, supported by sovereign and resilient infrastructure, and with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy in outputs.

Creating value beyond business

AI holds significant promise, and we have already seen countless successful pilots and proofs of concept. At the same time, large-scale impact on enterprise bottom lines is still limited. I believe the main reasons are time and trust. Transforming a large organization takes time, and adopting AI to replace or augment well-functioning, but costly, processes requires a high level of trust in the technology.

Looking ahead, I see two defining trends: enterprise-scale AI with real bottom-line impact and digital sovereignty. My view is that AI cannot scale effectively in enterprises without trusted, sovereign foundations. This goes beyond data residency to include the full stack: data processing, energy supply, hardware such as GPUs and CPUs, and network infrastructure.

This is a challenge, particularly in Europe, but also a major opportunity. Organizations that successfully combine AI-driven transformation with sovereignty will be in a strong position to lead in the next phase of digital development.
